Packaging Design

Carter's Every Step

This line of shoes involved a stage approach (Stage 1 Crawl, Stage 2 Stand, Stage 3 Walk) and the packaging was redesigned to reflect the stages.

In this project I worked closely with the merchandising and design team at Carter's as well as with Avery-Dennison who went on to produce the finished product.

This project presented several challenges including placement of text due to the fact that there are both US (English only) and Canadian (English / French) versions of the packaging, as well as multiple sizes for each graphic treatment.

Skip Hop Packaging

In addition to designing and researching products at Skip Hop, I was also responsible for the structural packaging of every product.

This entailed learning a great deal about dieline construction, as well as manufacturing and printing processes.

I would work closely with both product design teams and marketing / merchandising teams to insure that the packaging adequately displayed the toy while presenting the necessary information as clearly as possible.

Below is a small sample of package mock-ups and finished products.
